Programming and Volunteer Coordinator
Summary:
Primary duty of the Programming and Volunteer Coordinator is to support the Dunn County Historical Society’s effort to facilitate yearly programming in a timely, effective, and efficient manner with staff; coordinate volunteers for programming/projects; deliver tours; and aid in staffing the museum on some weekends.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

Coordinate and assist with programs, events, and activities (including some night and weekend events).

Taking in volunteer applications, communicating with volunteers, work with staff to create a volunteer recruitment plan, and coordinating a volunteer appreciation day.

Provide educational tours in conjunction with other staff/volunteers.

Learn Point of Sale (POS) system (Square).

Open/close museum 1-2 Saturdays a month.

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with creating programming and content, excellent communication and presentation skills, organized and structured, able to work with the public and a wide array of age groups, create connections and grow networks, and be self-motivated.
Working Conditions:
The Rassbach Museum and Fulton’s Workshop are fully climate controlled, but physical conditions require standing or sitting for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor settings across all seasons and moderate lifting of items for event set up such as tables, chairs, etc. The position requires the need to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Like all staff positions at the Dunn County Historical Society, this position has potential to expand in hours and responsibility as our organization grows.
Hours: Start at 20 hours a week Pay: $15/hour
