Our holiday festival is returning for its fifth year to Menomonie and Dunn County! Wakanda Wonderland is a community gathering featuring decorated holiday trees created by local businesses and community groups — perfect for a family outing.
This year, the trees will be set up as a holiday forest throughout the Rassbach Museum and Fulton's Workshop, allowing improved access for all visitors throughout the season. You'll also find:
-
Food and Beverages
-
Festive Photo Opportunities
-
Holiday Market (crafts by local artisans)
-
Sinterklaas Sweet Shop (featuring our popular "cookie bar" and "candy bar")
-
Make and Take Crafts for all ages in Fulton's Workshop
-
New! Hot Chocolate "bar" where you can build your own sweet treat!

Wakanda Wonderland will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Wakanda Wonderland trees will be on view through January 3rd.

Sponsoring a tree has become many things in our county:
-
Family tradition
-
Business team-building
-
Non-profit celebration
-
Creative way to promote business and support the museum
The trees will be displayed inside this season, (with the exception of six trees outside the museum entrance). This means our indoor trees do not need to be weatherproof, and do not need to be zip-tied to your tree. If you have ornaments on your tree that you need to have secured, you may of course do so.
You can also design and make a tree this year! We'll have artificial trees available, but if you want to get extra creative, we have included example images below. If you do design your own tree, we ask that it can stand securely and is not a danger to visitors. If you have questions, please let us know!

New This Year -- Memorial Trees
For the 2025 Wakanda Wonderland event we are pleased to offer Memorial Holiday Trees.

The room provided will be a quiet space for reflection, gathering and sharing memories, separate from the trees decorated as part of the general event, and will not be a part of the tree voting.

Your tree will memorialize a friend or family member. This can be with favorite ornaments, a theme that speaks to that person's interests, photographs or other memories. You can bring your own artificial tree, or use one provided by the museum. Please see the link below.

The memorial tree area will be available for visiting free of charge. Trees will be on display through January 3. If visitors want to see the rest of the museum and tree display, regular admission applies. Museum admission on the day of Wakanda Wonderland is free.
