Join Us! December 12, 2026 from 1-7 p.m.

Now in its sixth year, Wakanda Wonderland is our celebration of the people, businesses and organizations here in Menomonie and across Dunn County!

We say "thank-you" by hosting this free, family-friendly event. Enjoy the museum exhibits decked out for the holidays, and a forest of holiday trees created by local businesses and community groups.

There's more!

  • Come get your holiday gift shopping done at our Holiday Market and Sinterklaas Sweet Shop! The Holiday Market features high quality, hand-crafted pieces by local artisans.  Sinterklaas Sweet Shop offers a huge variety of traditional holiday baked goods, candy and other home-made food items for sale. Mix and match your own holiday treat box!

  • Explore Make and Take Crafts for all ages in Fulton's Workshop.

  • Build your own Hot Chocolate sweet treat.

  • Enjoy food and beverages for sale.

If you can't make it on the 12th, Wakanda Wonderland trees will be on view through January 2, 2027. Ask about private candlelight tours for your group.

Be a part of Wakanda Wonderland

Sponsor a tree!

Decorating or making a tree is a creative way to promote your organization or business and support the museum. It could be a yearly family tradition, business team-building event, or non-profit celebration. All the details are on the google form, or call the museum at 715-232-8685.

Decorate a Memorial Tree

We create a quiet space for reflection, gathering and sharing memories of someone special.

Use favorite ornaments, a meaningful theme, photographs or other mementos. You can bring your own artificial tree, or use one provided by the museum.

Memorial trees are separate from the trees decorated as part of the general event, and will not be a part of the tree voting. The memorial room will be available for visiting free of charge through January 2.

Be a vendor at the Artisan Market

You can apply to be a vendor! Click on the button for the application form and details, or call the museum to talk with someone directly.

Volunteer

There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities before, during, and after the event. Some of the specifics include:

  • Baking treats for Sinterklaas Sweet Shop

  • Helping the lead maker with craft activities in Fulton's Workshop

  • Decorating the museum before the event

  • Staffing booths during the event

Contact Rebecca Kilde at rebecca.kilde@dunnhistory.org to get involved.
